Art and history of Segusino

The town has a rural origin, but started to have industrial activities after the Second World War. Glasses production has particularly developped.

Segusino was mostly destroyed during the First World War, but was quickly rebuilt. There are now some valuable artistic buildings such  the ancient parish church dedicated to Saint Lucy, the small Saints Gervasio’s and Protasio’s church, the old Saint Stephen’s Oratory.

In the hamlet Stramare (3 km from Segusino) you can admire the picturesque church dedicated to Saint Valentine.

If you go through Stramare you arrive to Milies, a nice tourist village in which the Holy Mary’s church - built in1875- is worth visiting.

The whole area offers walking and hiking facilities thanks to its ideal geografic position.
