Ab.: 2.900

Ancient centre known since the Roman age, Fregona is made up of small sunlit villages scattered on the slopes of Mount Pizzoc. Among the monuments, the elegant baroque Villa Salvador and the queer bell tower are worth visiting. Among natural beauties, you should visit the gorgeous Grotte del Caglieron (i.e. caves), where a stream, flowing inside, eroded and shaped the rocks forming a magnificent scenery.
The typical wine produced in Fregona is called Torchiato (a kind of raisin wine). An exposition is organized every year in April.
Going up towards North for about 9 miles, you will reach the Cansiglio, a plateau of 3372 feet. It is a wide woodland, representing a remarkable natural richness. It is a winter and summer holiday resort. You can find good ski runs and a golf course with 18 holes. Charming routes for walking, hiking, horse-riding and biking are also present.
