Art and history to Fregona

FREGONA’S CHURCH

Period: It has an 18th century structure and is preceded by a long, remarkable flight of steps.

Works: You can admire a large altar piece, a beautiful fresco by Bevilacqua, on the ceiling, and other interesting works.

Bell tower: It is behind the church and have a rather original form; it is possible to go up in order to admire the gorgeous landscape. When the sky is very clear, you can ever see Venice.

VILLA TROYER

Period: 18th century; it is characterised by two large loggias, which are typical of villas in the mountain area.

Style: The central building is in baroque style. The loggias are rather of the Renaissance with stones columns and round archers. Some original elements remains in the eastern side. Among them we can mention: door-jambs (in the loggia), oval holes which gave light to the ceiling, corbels which frame the roof.
