Art and history to Cordignano

CORDIGNANO’S CHURCH

Period: It already existed at the end of the 7th century. The present structure dates back to 1608-1628. The building was finished in 1760 and restored from 1985 to 1991.

 

Works: The two altar pieces by Palma il Giovane are worth admiring. Other remarkable works are a painting portraying Jesus’ Baptism by Domenico Tintoretto, a fresco by Giovanni De Min.

 

PINIDELLO’S CHURCH

 

Period: The Presbytery dates back to the first half of 1400.

 

Works: In the apse, we can see a painting by Francesco da Milano. In the choir, there are interesting frescoes.
