Caratteristico Centro di antiche tradizioni, situato sulla strada della Vallata, al confine tra la Marca Trevigiana e le Prealpi Bellunesi. E' il paese più importante della "Valmarena", abitata sin dall'epoca piu' remota, dominato dall'imponente mole del Castello dei Brandolini, sorto nel 1194, antica residenza dei conti omonimi e, prima ancora, dei "podestà" della Serenissima. Interessante la settecentesca Chiesa arcipretale che contiene pregevoli tele. Ormai nota a Cison la mostra "Artigianato vivo" (agosto) con belle esposizioni e spettacoli culturali. Meritano una visita anche i borghi vicini: Rolle, Gai, Soller, Tovena. Da quest'ultimo borgo ha inizio una strada in salita che, lungo stretti tornanti, conduce al Passo di S. Boldo (M.706), con vista panoramica sulla Val Belluna e con possibilità di bellissime passeggiate.

Cison is a centre of ancient traditions lying on the Vallata Road, where the Marca Trevigiana ends and the Bellunesi Prealps begin. It is the most important village of the Valmarena valley, lived in since remote ages.
The imposing size of Castlebrando towers over the village. It was built in 1194 and inhabited by the Da Caminos until the 14th century, by the Podestà sent from Venice by the Serenissima Republic for more than 400 years, until it became the residence of the Brandolini earls. It has recently been restored to house a hotel, restaurants and museums.
The 18th century Archpriest-church houses remarkable paintings.

A well known craftsmen exposition called Artigianato Vivo (living craftsmanship) takes place along the village roads every year in August, and is the occasion for many other cultural events.

The nearby hamlets (Rolle, Gai, Soller, Tovena) are also worth visiting. In Tovena you can take the road winding up in bends and leading to Passo San Boldo (2316 feet), which offers a panoramic view on the Valbelluna and the opportunity to take beautiful walks and excursion.
